Tutoring Service Contract for Parents

This Tutoring Service Contract (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into as of [DATE] by and between [TUTOR’S FULL NAME], residing at [TUTOR’S FULL ADDRESS] (hereinafter referred to as “Tutor”), and [PARENT’S FULL NAME], residing at [PARENT’S FULL ADDRESS], acting on behalf of their child, [STUDENT’S FULL NAME], born on [STUDENT’S DATE OF BIRTH] (hereinafter referred to as “Student”).

1. Scope of Services

The Tutor agrees to provide tutoring services to the Student in the subject(s) of [SUBJECT(S) TO BE TUTORED], with the primary goal of [STATE SPECIFIC GOALS, e.g., improving grades, preparing for standardized tests, filling knowledge gaps]. The Tutor will provide individualized instruction and support, including but not limited to:

Reviewing classroom materials and homework assignments.

Administering practice quizzes and tests to assess progress.
Providing constructive feedback and encouragement.

The Tutor will utilize [DESCRIBE TUTORING METHODS, e.g., visual aids, interactive exercises, online resources] as appropriate to the Student’s learning style and needs. The Tutor will communicate regularly with the Parent regarding the Student’s progress and any concerns that may arise.

2. Schedule and Location

For online sessions, both parties are responsible for ensuring they have a reliable internet connection and necessary equipment (e.g., computer, webcam, microphone).

Any changes to the schedule or location must be agreed upon by both the Tutor and the Parent at least [NUMBER] hours/days in advance. The Tutor reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, providing as much notice as possible to the Parent.

3. Fees and Payment

4. Responsibilities of the Parent

The Parent agrees to:

Provide the Tutor with relevant information about the Student’s academic history, learning style, and any special needs or accommodations.
Ensure the Student attends tutoring sessions on time and is prepared to learn.
Review the Student’s progress with the Tutor and provide feedback.
Encourage the Student to complete assigned homework and practice exercises.
Maintain open communication with the Tutor regarding any concerns or issues.
Provide a safe and appropriate learning environment for tutoring sessions.

5. Responsibilities of the Tutor

The Tutor agrees to:

Provide high-quality tutoring services that are tailored to the Student’s individual needs.
Be punctual and prepared for each tutoring session.
Communicate effectively with the Parent and Student.
Maintain confidentiality regarding the Student’s academic performance and personal information.
Provide regular updates on the Student’s progress.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards.

6. Term and Termination

This Agreement shall commence on [START DATE] and shall continue until [END DATE] or until terminated as provided herein. Either party may terminate this Agreement with [NUMBER] days written notice to the other party.

The Tutor may terminate this Agreement immediately if the Parent fails to make timely payments, repeatedly cancels sessions without adequate notice, or engages in behavior that is disruptive or disrespectful. The Parent may terminate this agreement if the Tutor consistently fails to meet the agreed-upon obligations or engages in unprofessional conduct.

Upon termination of this Agreement, the Parent shall pay the Tutor for all services rendered up to the date of termination.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Tutor’s liability under this Agreement shall be limited to the fees paid by the Parent for tutoring services. The Tutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [STATE]. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of [COUNTY], [STATE].

9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
