Simple Job Contract for Hourly Worker

This Simple Job Contract (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into as of [DATE] by and between [COMPANY NAME], a [STATE] corporation, with its principal place of business at [COMPANY ADDRESS] (“Company”), and [EMPLOYEE NAME], residing at [EMPLOYEE ADDRESS] (“Employee”).

1. Employment

Company hereby employs Employee, and Employee hereby accepts employment with Company, upon the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. Employee’s job title will be [JOB TITLE].

2. Duties

Employee shall perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to them by Company. These duties may include, but are not limited to: [LIST SPECIFIC DUTIES]. Employee agrees to perform their duties faithfully and to the best of their ability.

3. Compensation

Employee shall be compensated at an hourly rate of $[HOURLY RATE] per hour. Employee will be paid [PAYMENT FREQUENCY] (e.g., bi-weekly, monthly) on [DAY OF THE WEEK] for all hours worked during the preceding pay period.

Company will provide Employee with a pay stub detailing hours worked, hourly rate, gross pay, and any deductions.

4. Hours of Work

However, the exact hours and days of work may vary depending on the needs of the Company. 5. Overtime

Employee will be compensated for overtime hours worked in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. Typically, this means that Employee will be paid one and one-half times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.

6. Benefits

As an hourly employee, Employee [IS/IS NOT] eligible for Company benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans. If Employee is eligible, a separate benefits summary will be provided. Details regarding eligibility requirements and benefit plans are available from the Human Resources department.

7. Paid Time Off (PTO) / Sick Leave

8. At-Will Employment

Employee’s employment with Company is “at-will,” meaning that either Company or Employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. This Agreement is not a contract for a specified term.

9. Confidentiality

Employee acknowledges that during their employment, they may have access to confidential information about Company, its customers, and its business operations. Employee agrees not to disclose any confidential information to any third party, either during or after their employment with Company. This includes, but is not limited to, trade secrets, customer lists, financial information, and marketing strategies.

10. Company Property

Employee agrees to return all Company property, including but not limited to, computers, phones, documents, and keys, upon termination of their employment.

11. Non-Solicitation

During the term of their employment and for a period of [NUMBER] months following termination, Employee agrees not to solicit any employees or customers of Company to leave Company or to do business with a competitor.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict of law principles.

13. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.

14. Amendments

15. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
